Citrix Systems has appointed Carsten Böckelmann as its new Country Manager Germany at Citrix Systems as part of the transformation of its management team in Germany.

Previously, Böckelmann was Regional Director for Citrix's server and managed desktop virtualisation for the Central Europe region. In his latest role Böckelmann will be involved with the integration of distribution and wholesale partners in business and in the areas of public sector and SME.

"The goal is the expansion of the strategic partnership with Microsoft," said Bockelmann. "In view of the rapidly growing virtualisation market, it means that we will see ourselves as complementary partners of Microsoft and thus provide a crucial added value for our joint customers."

As well as Böckelmann, there was also a change in also Ralf Kliemann, who was promoted to Director Mid Market Sales in Germany, having joined as Regional Manager for Central Europe in 2004.
