Compellent extends training for the channel
Compellent has expanded the scope of its international technical training capabilities with the appointment of UK-based Peter Coleman to lead its EMEA training organisation as International Technical Trainer.
Reporting to Neil Stobart, Compellent's International Technical Director, Coleman (left) will be responsible for training Compellent's European partners and customers on the company's Fluid Data storage solutions.
Coleman has more than 25 years' experience spanning a wide variety of technologies, including various senior technical training, management and engineering positions at Infinity, Cisco Systems, and British Telecom International. He also helped developing the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) hands-on labs - a multi-vendor education programme to promote new storage technologies - and has been teaching SNIA sessions at Storage Networking World (SNV) for more than seven years.
"As Compellent continues to expand internationally, we are growing our infrastructure in EMEA to ensure our high standards of service, training and support are fully maintained," comments Stobart. "Technical training is one of our core disciplines and Peter's role will be central to supporting this growth."
With channel partners in more than 30 countries, Compellent was recently recognised for the third consecutive year as the fastest growing block-based, external storage company in the world by Gartner.
