Isabelle Welton, who had been overseeing marketing services and communications for IBM in Switzerland and Austria has been apppointed IBM Country General Manager for Switzerland. She had previously held several management functions in the IBM European Organisation and was a part of the leadership of IBM in Switzerland from 2004 to 2007.

She joined IBM in 2003 after working for several years for Zurich Financial Services, a company in which it was responsible - as a member of management - for the external communication worldwide. Isabelle Welton takes over from Daniel Rüthemann who died in December, 2009.
